The Miss G__ Project

This doesn't have much to do with Oxfam, but it does have alot to do with social justice.

On June 1st the girls of the Miss G__ Project are organizing a feminist read-in at Queens Park. I'll just copy directly from the website:

Bring your blankets, picnic baskets, and feminist lit, and show "The Man" (Gerard Kennedy, Minister of Education) that YOU want WOMEN'S STUDIES in the Ontario high school curriculum.

If you're not too sure what the Miss G__ project is, it's a group of students campaigning to get an optional women's studies course into Ontario's highschool curriculum. They are promoting equality within education, and combating inequality and homophobia through education. Sounds good to me!
