Back To School

Hi everyone. How was everyone's summer? Neeru, Kamilla, and I all went to the Oxfam Canada CHANGE Initiative weekend in Toronto last weekend. It was loads of fun and interesting. I'm sure if you ask any of us about it, we'd all be more than happy to talk about it. I highly recommend it so keep it in mind for next year! As for summer projects, you've probably noticed nothing happened with regards to the fair trade guide. There's a big story behind that but in the interest of public forums, I'll keep the long version for meetings, and here's the short of it: It's still a go, however it will definitely be something that will happen over the course of this year. We need to work on the whole idea as a team effort so I thought it would be best to leave it for during the school year as a part of the other projects we do.

I'll be contacting people and organizing meetings pretty soon regarding two important events coming up fast: 1. Clubs week. We need volunteers to help us man our booth for that. More later. 2. World Food Day, October 16th. There's a big and exciting cross-country effort surrounding this that I can tell everyone more about at our first meeting. We will definitely be doing something on or very close to this day and event. :) So keep it in mind!

Everyone getting back into the "school" mode? Two weeks left of summer vacation. Make'm worth it!

See you all very soon! Best of luck with everyone who's moving back into London for the school year, hope all goes well with that.
